When the main file system on the compact flash fails to mount, all configuration data is lost and the system comes up in its factory default state. The file system fails to mount because of corruption to the file system or the compact flash partition table entry associated with the mounted file system. If corruption to the compact flash partition table occurs, the codec must be returned and its compact flash replaced and reformatted.
The corruption of the FPGA device occurs when a user power cycles the Tele Presence codec during the process of an FPGA upgrade. An FPGA upgrade may take place during new image installation if there were changes to the FPGA logic. The FPGA upgrade process is automatic and no user intervention is required. If the FPGA device becomes corrupted, the Tele Presence codec will not boot properly.
