BFD 748 550/3 Telecom Parts network board

The BFD 748 550/3 switch itself is physically smaller than a Xbar switch, and usually smaller than most AXE switches. This is because the BFD 748 550/3 switch is more spread out, as opposed to other types of switches which are all located in one switch house. The use of remote modules give the CO more space to install a Line Concentrating Module (LCM) or Main Distribution Frame (MDF). Many versions of BFD 748 550/3 exist.
