Applications:

To meet the operators’ development requirements for xPON technology to provide high-bandwidth, multiple services, QoS, security with efficiency for the users and to reduce network CAPEX (cost and planning on equipment and cables) and OPEX (operation and maintenance cost and services), ZTE launches OMP equipment to provide stable technology and service platform for the access network construction and service improvement on basis of the thorough comprehension on the network development.

OMP is big/middle OLT equipment with high density, high bandwidth and scalable office end equipment of passive optical access. OMP is a unified xPON access platform that provides access and management control for a full series of services including HSI, VoIP, TDM, IPTV, CATV, mobile 2G/3G, and WiFi, as well as carrier-class QoS, security, and reliability guarantees. OMP supports EPON, GPON and 10GEPON. It supports kinds of FTTx application modes.

Each has a controller, a small computer whose CPUs and memories, like most common equipment of the exchange, are duplicated for redundancy. Distributed system lessens the load on the Central Administrative Module (AM) or main computer.

One service board, the model is EPFC, with four optical ports and four SFP modules;
Two control boards, the model is GCSA, with cable control port, SD memory card ports, etc., as shown.
An EIGM board, it is with four cable ports and 2 SFP fiber ports and the modules.
A rack fan, it is containing six small fans; 48V power connector; UPLINK port and ports.
